Who are the Outsiders?

The Outsiders are a friendly group of people, of varied ages and backgrounds, with a shared enthusiasm for country walking. The members come from all over London and nearby.

Our day-walks take place in the countryside around London – sometimes in the rolling Chiltern Hills to the west, but also in Hertfordshire to the north or the North Downs of Kent, Surrey and Hampshire to the south. Many London-dwellers are not aware of the beautiful landscapes of the 'Home Counties', nor of how easy it is to access them by train (not just by car!)

We welcome you to come with us on two day walks. Then if you decide to join, membership is £15 per year and runs from January to December.

The Outsiders Walking Club is affiliated to the Ramblers Association. A donation of 10% of our membership subscription is made to the RA each year in recognition of their important work promoting the rights of all walkers in the countryside.
